Today

Been a difficult day in some ways as I have caught the cold thing that Sqk has been down with and DH had at end of last week. So lecturing was interesting this afternoon although I managed – only 3 more hours plus a 3 hour lab to go this week. Admittedly I do have a research meeting on Wednesday but such is life. I never go through winter without at least one cold – and given Sqk is now mixing lots with other children I expected this.

At least this week with the Adoption UK conference on Saturday DH has a half day on Friday so only got the morning to manage with Sqk. Going to dose myself up tomorrow as I want to go to local support group given it is on lifestory work which is something I really need to start doing a bit with Sqk.

At least tomorrow I have an hour lecture then I think I shall come home and collapse for 90 minutes before going to get Sqk. Wednesday is busy and Thursday only slightly less so – I love my job but it is interesting with a cold when you are not functioning at a full 100%. It is also fun with a 3 year old running around, but a caring one – every time I sneeze or cough he says ‘Mummy you ok?’ He is doing well at the moment and we are starting to have some conversations about adoption in general terms.

anyway off to bed to get some additional sleep with this cold…
